Nitrous oxide-supply diminished

nitrous oxide

Question from one of our members:

Will the poor supply of Nitrous oxide lead to more use of epidural in the country's hospitals? What do you think?

Reply from users:

At the hospital here, they stop laughing gas many years ago, so I've never tried it. The first birth I had no epidural, tried other things since I did not know what I went for the second time I asked for the epidural right away, so I would catch that think epidural is pretty amazing!

Yes, I think. With all the pain it causes. I have a classic history of the epidural, the contractions were inhibited due to the epidural, I had to get pg epidural drip had to be turned off so the contractions picked up, I had a long labor that eventually ended with the vacuum (it was the number before caesarean section). Oldest girl was skewed and was the star looks as well, and it had NOK much to say that it did not materialize, but perhaps she would have turned out much easier if the contractions got to work optimally right from the start. Today, I would not chose an epidural again, when I have so fantastic use of nitrous oxide. And if nitrous oxide disappear from the hospital in Tromsø, I would probably not have epidural rather because previous birth went so fast that I hardly wanted to catch that in the future. I think this will create more fear of birth, because the offer is considerably worse. I know what I decide if I must choose between the midwife and light the gas. Then the midwife pellets out for me.

I had both epidural and nitrous oxide. (Twin birth). Epidural worked very well for me, but towards the end when it really picked up so it was very good to have something else to concentrate on. So for me I have no idea how much pain it was to light the gas, but to keep the mask / konstentrere out of breath in the mask was important for me. (so important that when the midwife student came to turn down the epidural, I thought she would take the mask . I looked up at her with a look that could kill and snarled, "you touch not my mask!" Poor girl looked like she was standing face to face with the devil himself ... something she almost did. )

Let's hope the trend is moving forward on this as well, so it can be replaced with something. It could have been furious fun at various delivery rooms if they used helium? As long as they remove light gas of the reasons they do, it's the way it should be. Someone to run the risk of miscarriage while taking in the other's children, is not. This would in that case all the midwives, nurses, etc. drop the job almost as soon as they became pregnant.

At St. Olav, the course found ways to limit the presence of nitrous oxide in the room. That they may well do elsewhere as well, it works the good there. I think it too often chosen the cheapest and easiest solution. No, you probably realize that I should pop out four men as soon as possible before an offer of value here is history.
